Distance, the size of the move, access at each end (stairs, elevators, parking), the date, and any packing, storage or white glove service. Tell us those and the price comes back in writing.
Local move timing is confirmed in your quote. Long-distance and cross-border timing depends on the route, and your delivery window is written into the quote before the truck is booked.
Moving to the US, your household goods cross on a CBP Form 3299 that we prepare with you. Moving to Canada, they travel in bond and you clear them at customs with your proof of citizenship or status. Brokers are only used for commercial goods.
The earlier the better, especially at month end and in summer. Call as soon as your date is fixed so operations can plan the truck and crew around it.
Operations answers Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and can tell you where your move is.

Yes, in both directions. The paperwork depends on the shipment. Household goods cross on a CBP Form 3299 into the US, or travel in bond into Canada where you clear them at customs yourself. A licensed customs broker is only involved for commercial goods.
